Physician's Residence: PLSI to LPC "Immediate stabilization is needed"
February 5, 2018
ADVOCACY NEWS: On February 1, 2018, PLSI submitted a formal complaint to the Enforcement Department of the city Landmark Preservation Commission. The complaint noted the deteriorated state of the landmarked Physician's Residence on the campus of Bayley Seton Hospital in Clifton. The long-vacant stone house, facing Bay Street, was built in 1842 and is now owned by the Salvation Army.
The house "is in a state of disrepair and neglect," the PLSI complaint noted, with photos attached. "The front porch has collapsed. And the roof has also probably failed."
This plea followed: "Immediate stabilization is needed."
